We are looking for someone who wants to spend time with animals, make money, and have a flexible schedule. This position is on an as-needed basis starting (one-five jobs a week). Someone who may have free time throughout the day or night to spare would be perfect. This job consists of being indoor and outdoors in various weather conditions(sun, rain, snow, the wonderful KY weather!) We are a full-service pet care company, meaning we scoop the poop and clean cages when needed. And the best part is...if a nose needs to be booped or a purr session needs to happen,we are all about it! 

 

We enjoy providing care for pets and sound of mind to their owners by sending photo updates and post-walk reports to let them know how their pet is doing. This position could be long term as the company grows. Our clients trust that, when we are there for them and their pets, we are 100% there. We make it our priority to be responsive, dependable, knowledgeable, and compassionate to all humans or animals we come in contact with and a positive member of the pet community.

 

The ideal candidate for this position will be dependable, can follow instructions, has strong and concise communication skills, is responsive, has integrity, and is organized. The candidate must be able to actively walk, stand and play with animals in all weather conditions all year round. Candidate with current Pet First Aid/CPR certification is four paws up for sure!

• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, insurance and clean driving record and willing to drive to locations

• Must be a great photographer

• Must have a smartphone and knowledge of apps for our software program

• Great communication and people skills

• Someone in the east end part of Louisville preferred 

• Must be attentive and conscientious to follow all instructions

• Must be able to pass a background test.

• Medical administration knowledge and/or certification is preferred

• Paid training, bi-weekly pay

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and actively walk,  stand and play with dogs in all weather conditions and pets of various kinds.

• Must not be afraid to pick up animal waste.

While this is an as needed basis, Fur and Feathers strives to ALWAYS provide HONEST, EXCEPTIONAL AND TIMELY care for the pets and our clients. To achieve this we may require a background check and will provide training during a probationary period.

Pay: $13-$18/hourly
